THE RMW CITY COLLECTION
CARRYING ON OUR HERITAGE SINCE 1932
The R.M.Williams journey began with handcrafted leather goods by founder Reginald Murray Williams. Carrying on this legacy, we’ve brought to life The RMW City Collection, taking inspiration from our well-leathered heritage.
In 1928, on a return trip to Adelaide, RM made his way through the Everard Ranges and stopped off at Granite Downs cattle station. It was here that he met Reg Brown, who showed him how to plait leather.
In the 1930s, after setting up his workshop at 5 Percy Street, RM began producing high-quality saddles, harness gear, bridles, water bags, packsaddles and other small leather goods.
True to our merchant roots, our selection of the leather goods has evolved over the years to suit our customers’ lifestyles and needs. Most recently, we’ve designed The RMW City Collection for the customer who is after a premium look without losing the aesthetic of the outback.
The RMW City Collection is a stylish range that focuses on intricate detailing inspired by RM’s original leathercraft. The collection showcases plaiting on the handles and zips, with hardware inspired by the buckles and clips used in RM’s original saddles, harness gear and packsaddles.
The collection comes in our iconic colour palette: black, chestnut and tan.
The RMW City Collection is as beautiful as the archival product that helped shape it.
