We’re proud to announce our partnership with the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR).
It is devastating to see what is happening in our own backyard. The tragic bushfires and ongoing drought have our heartland facing enormous challenges. As a brand that was born in the outback, R.M.Williams has long paid respect to the bush. It is an integral part of who we are and what RM himself cared for so deeply.
At this time of need across the Australian community, we will strengthen our efforts to help our land and people recover and rejuvenate. We will stay focussed on this task, now and into the future.
Since 1932 R.M.Williams has stepped up when the hat gets passed around, supporting our mates in good times and in bad. In that spirit and after much consideration, we have made the decision to partner with the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR).
Our partnership with the FRRR is a long-term commitment. Our initial support for the foundation will see us donating a quarter of a million dollars. And there will be more. Through this partnership we will continue to act and stay present in affected communities long after the current fires have been extinguished.
WHO ARE FRRR?
The Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR) was established in 2000 to support the renewal of rural, regional and remote communities in Australia through partnerships with the private sector, philanthropy and governments. Since inception, FRRR has managed the distribution of nearly $100 million in grants and provided substantial capacity building support to community organisations across the nation. To find out more about FRRR, visit www.frrr.org.au.
WHY ARE WE PARTNERING WITH FRRR?
The partnership is a significant expression of our commitment to the wellbeing of our heartland.
Although we need to respond swiftly to the current fires, it is equally important to continue having a lasting, positive impact on our community and the FRRR has the expertise and experience to help do this. It operates across the spectrum of needs in the bush. They work in disaster relief, the drought space and education, among many other things.
WHAT DO WE HOPE TO ACHIEVE TOGETHER?
Over a long-term partnership, we aim to give back to rural, regional and remote Australian communities across the country and support them in times of hardship.
