Christmas Cut Off Dates: Please note if you place an order or post your boots back after the below date, please allow for double the repair time to have your boots sent back to you. Our workshop is closed from the 22nd December - January 11.

  • If ordering a repair for more than one pair of boots, you will need to place two separate repair orders 
  • Repairs made with authentic parts developed with experience over 84 years
  • Due to age and/or wear and tear, the elasticity in the elastics may diminish
  • Elastics can be replaced individually, or in multiples as required
  • Elastics will be replaced with the same colour or closet match to the original elastic(s)

  • If ordering a repair for more than one pair of boots, you will need to place two separate repair orders 
  • Boots must be sent after purchase using the Australia Post generated shipping label to the workshop within 2 months of purchasing a repair service 
  • Please note if you are a New Zealand customer you will need to cover the cost of returning the boots to the Boot Repair Room using a local post or courier service
  • All repairs are subject to inspection and by purchasing this product you have read and agreed to the Boot Repair Conditions outlined below
  • Additional work may be required at a cost of up to $250, our repairs team will be in contact before any work is initiated 
  • During the stripping process it may be found that your boots are incapable of repair, in which case you will be contacted by customer service
  • Online boot repair purchases must be returned as outlined in the 'Next Steps' 


  • Following your purchase, create your Australia Post generated shipping label
  • Enter your order number beginning with AU into the field along with your email address and click next
  • Enter the reason for return as 'Repair Service'
  • Enter your name and address you wish to have your boots returned to
  • Click ‘download and print’ to print your label at home. If you don’t own a printer your label will also be sent to your chosen email address and can be printed out instore at any Australia Post store or retail partner.
  • Carefully package your boots in a box or satchel - we recommend using a box to avoid any damage in transit, with the supplied Australia Post shipping label attached and pop the parcel in any Australia Post, post box or drop off in person at any Australia Post Office
  • Once your boots arrive at The Boot Room our boot makers will make an assessment and begin the repair process
  • Depending on the repair/s required your good as old boots will be returned to you within 4-6 weeks
  • Please ensure if you have purchased more than one pair of boots to be repaired, you have completed two separate orders and packaged your boots in the two separate return satchels. You will need to generate 1 Australia Post shipping label for each return order. To ensure you get the correct repairs made to your boots.

Boot Repair Conditions

R.M.Williams boots are constructed in such a manner that under normal wear and tear they can be repaired several times in their lifetime. But like any good product, if not properly cared for, irreparable and often unseen damage can occur which is not evident until the boots are stripped down for repair.

During the stripping process it may be discovered that additional work is required to enable the original repair request to be carried out. If this is found to be the case, appropriate costs may be applied. R.M.Williams Pty. Ltd. accept these boots for repair under the condition that no responsibility will be taken where the boots are found after stripping to be incapable of repair. If this occurs your boots will be returned to you in the stripped state, and a full refund will be applied. You have 2 months (60 days) after purchase to return your boots to the R.M. Williams boot room for repairs to be made otherwise the purchase is void. To R.M.Williams Pty Ltd, I have read the above conditions under which you accept my boot for repair, upon payment of this repair product you agree to be bound by the above conditions.

In doing so you have availed yourself of the skills practised by the craftsmen and women in our boot factory and the quality of the materials we use in the making of all new boots. The success of the repairs carried out on your boots will depend as it always does, whether they are new or old boots, on the care and maintenance you continue to give them.
